DIY Lavender Body Scrub

Over the years, I’ve learned that I really enjoy making things, whether that be through crafting or making soothing skincare products. It helps me feel calm, centered, and grounded, which aligns with my intentions of living a peaceful life doing things that I enjoy, things that help me expand my inner light.

One of the skincare products I enjoy making, as an act of self-care, is body scrubs. And lavender body scrubs are one of my favorites because lavender has some great healing properties for relaxation and calming the body.

So with that in mind, I wanted to share a simple DIY Body Scrub that I love making, and if you’re interested in making one of your own, you can use this recipe, or tweak it to your liking. Just remember to relax, have fun, and connect with you and your inner self.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 1/4 cups of sugar (I use white sugar)

  • 1/4 cup of (unrefined) coconut oil

  • 15 to 20 drops of lavender essential oil

  • 2 tablespoons of castile soap

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of dried lavender (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine your sugar and coconut oil into a bowl.

  2. Then add 15 to 20 drops of lavender essential oil

  3. Next add 2 tablespoons of castile soap

  4. Optional: You can add the dried lavender flower buds to your scrub

  5. And then stir everything together.

  6. Lastly, spoon the scrub into an air-tight container.
